Description of a vacancy

Our client is a fast-growing Ukrainian grocery supermarket chain currently expanding its operational capabilities and looking for a Head of Inventory Management (Retail/FMCG), based in Kharkiv.

The company is seeking a strong manager and inventory management expert who will drive inventory optimization processes, improve business efficiency, and further develop the inventory management function across the retail network.

Requirements:
  • Higher education degree;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory management, preferably within FMCG or retail;
  • Confident user of MS Office with practical experience working in 1C;
  • Experience working with automated ordering systems would be an advantage;
  • Valid category B driving license;
  • Experience managing teams;
  • Proactive mindset, strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and a systematic approach to process management.

Responsibilities:
  • Organizing and managing the work of the inventory management department;
  • Managing inventory processes, including optimization of supply sources, delivery schedules, order frequency, order volumes, and warehouse processing operations;
  • Setting up and controlling the automated ordering system, ensuring timely order generation and submission;
  • Developing, implementing, and optimizing business processes and internal procedures to improve inventory management efficiency;
  • Building the department structure, participating in motivation system development, and organizing team training and development;
  • Improving software solutions and inventory management processes;
  • Preparing analytical and management reporting based on operational results;
  • Participating in project implementation and business transformation initiatives.
