Description of a vacancy

Our client, a rapidly growing Ukrainian supermarket chain, is looking for an experienced Category Manager – Non-Food to join its team.

Requirements:
  • University degree;
  • At least 2 years of experience in Non-Food Category Management;
  • Experience in retail or B2C is a strong advantage;
  • Confident user of MS Office and other PC applications; experience with 1C is required;
  • Good understanding of pricing principles and commercial analytics;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with large volumes of data;
  • Fast learner with a proactive approach to professional development;
  • Result-oriented, responsible and goal-driven, with strong execution skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop assigned non-food categories, including household chemicals, home care products, pet food and seasonal goods;
  • Build and optimize the assortment matrix and develop category strategies aligned with business objectives;
  • Manage supplier relationships, including commercial negotiations, partnership development and portfolio optimization;
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitors and pricing strategies to identify growth opportunities;
  • Analyze key category performance indicators, including ABC analysis, stock turnover and slow-/non-moving products, and implement initiatives to improve category profitability and efficiency;
  • Plan, coordinate and manage category activities to achieve sales, profitability and other business targets.
